Class Descriptions
One Hour Classes
 
Vinyasa Flow-  A vigorous style of yoga that accompanies breath with movement.  The instructor takes the students through each posture with explanation on how and when to breath.  A strength building practice that also lends itself to stress relief and relaxation.

Ashtanga Yoga- A set series of postures that are synchronized with the breath.  The series was originally designed by Patabi Jois in Mysore India at the Ashtanga research institute.  While the series stays intact in its original form slight changes are expounded upon by those following the tradition at the Ashtanga research institute.  There are many reasons to practice a set sequence.  One of which is, knowing what comes next allows your body to automatically move into the next posture without having to think about the next step, this creates a moving mediation.  In advanced Ashtanga classes the students will preform their practice on their own while the teacher gives hands on adjustments.  Beginning and Intermediate classes are a led primary series taught by the teacher.


Open Dance

Evonne will provide the music, you provide the Dance. With gently guided moves, we welcome all movement varieties. Come meditate, be, love, commune, dance your heart out!!

Spin & Tone
Come and get your cardio and toning in during one 60 minute high intensity workout on your bike and toning on the mat in just ONE class! Let Sarah help you spin away some serious calories, while strengthening your muscles at the same time.

Body Sculpt

Kim brings high energy to this strength based class which consists of a short  warm up followed by a full body workout utilizing all of the latest fitness toys. The bosu, kettle bells, sliders, sports bands and large stability ball. Who knew working out could be so much fun!!

Spin
Come experience a ride indoors with one of our 3 amazing spin instructors! Between the energetic music, talented instructors and unseen moves you will get the ride of your lifetime, while indoors!

Totally Toned
Strength based, Pilates infused exercises. Lisa focuses on correct form and core muscle strength. She incorporates balance, agility and flexibility.

Nia
The Nia technique is a form of fitness fusion that incorporates elements of dance, martial arts and healing arts into a holistic workout- Nia focuses on self expression, healing and developing mindfulness. This class is taught by Evonne, who is a brown belt in Nia and brings many years of experiences and a passion for the art of Nia to every class she teaches.

Burn and Firm
Burn calories and firm muscles in this one hour non-stop class. Terri combines interval training, step aerobics, weight training and core strength. Modifications will be shown for varying degrees of intensity.

Bosu

Everything is harder on the bosu because you are having to use your core muscle to stabilize while doing exercises. The bosu is a half of a ball that allows you to do traditional exercises while standing on it.  To complete the exercises you have to bring your core strength and balance into every move. Simple balancing and motions are much more challenging on the Bosu, however you will find an inner strength that builds your core.

Kick Boxing

Talk about high energy; get your butt kicked by Taylor while having the time of your life. This class is set to invigorating music and incorporates traditional kick boxing moves with high energy cardio. Kick your way to an awesome body.

Pilates (Strength)
This is an intermediate to advanced class where Kim will focus on core strength, flexibility, balance and overall body strength. There is not any traditional cardio or bouncing  in this class, however your heart rate may get up due to the intensity of the moves. Come join the fun in one of our most popular classes. 

Zumba
Is a fusion of Latin and international music that creates a dynamic, exiciting and effective fitness program. It is the big dance and aerobic craze that is spreading worldwide and now Evonne is teaching it right here in Durango!!

Yoga
Lani
invites you to compliment an active, athletic lifestyle with postures to find opening and spaciousness in both body and mind. Julie has been studying yoga since 02' and brings her passion for movement into each class.


Brazil Butt Lift with Taylor
This class will be sure to REDUCE you hips and thighs and melt away those stubborn saddlebags. SHAPE your gluteal muscles to get you a perfectly round derriere, while LIFTING your butt so it looks great from every angle This class will make you sweat while having the time of your life!



Half Hour Power Blast Classes

Power blast classes are high intense classes that allow you to get a great workout in half the time of a regular class. These are great classes to pair with your traditional high cardio classes to help push you through fitness plateaus.


Cross Training
This class is based on the new popular cross-fit training that is so popular in LA clubs. The class is based on personal circuits, where you will work each muscle group to fatigue with short burst of cardio, followed by short rest periods to bring your heart back down. This class will break your muscles down allowing them to come back stronger and firmer in a short effective time frame. If you are short on time, this is the perfect class for you. 

                          Programs

Boot Camp Program with Taylor
Intensified fitness program that will jump start your metabloism and encourage total body fitness. Boot Camp incorporates modern fitness techniques like plyomtrics, agility & strength training exercises. If you're not afraid to work hard and see fast results, then this is the perfect program for you.


Biggest Loser with Kim
If you have a lot of weight you want to lose or just can't seem to get rid of the last 10 pounds then this is just the program for you. Get ready to work harder than you even have before and see what rewards can appear. For four weeks you will meet Monday thru Friday for one and a half hours. First a half hour of monitored cardio, followed by one hour full body intense workout. You will be put on an eating program which will be monitored daily. We will start with a full body assessment including weight, body fat and measurements which will be checked weekly. Your progress will be recorded and updated in your own Biggest Loser Portfolio. This will not be easy, but it will be worth it. Watch as you feel stronger, have more energy and shrink down to your ideal size.
